The University of Florida’s College of Liberal Arts and Science offers students the opportunity to study in Rennes, France. The University Rennes 2 is a public research university in Rennes, France and offers a unique blend of courses, in fields ranging from fine arts and literature, to languages, human and social sciences and sports science.
Requirements/Eligibility• Open to all majors (preference will be given to students minoring or majoring
in French and Francophone Studies) • Languages of Instruction: French • Required GPA: 3.0• Level of French required: B2 level (having completed UF French courses at
the 3000 level) • Students must have completed 12 hours of coursework at the University of
Florida • Each applicant must be nominated by the University of Florida and then
apply to the exchange partner as an international exchange student
LocationSituated in north-west France, Rennes 2 University is firmly rooted in Rennes and in Brittany and is a vibrant driving force, both at the regional level and nationally. Rennes is the capital of the region of Britanny and situated at the confluence of the Ille and the Vilaine. Rennes is located on the European atlantic arc, 50 km from the English Channel (near the beautiful Mont Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo).
HousingExchange students can submit an application to request accommodation in a residence hall on campus. Two types of room are available (Standard rooms and enhanced rooms). In each building, students can find a TV room, a leisure room and a launderette.

TuitionTuition at the host school is waived for exchange students, who instead pay tuition directly to the University of Florida at their usual tuition rate.
Financial AidUniversity of Florida students needing financial aid should apply through UF Student Financial Affairs. Normal eligibility for aid may be used while studying abroad as an exchange student. This includes using the Bright Futures scholarship and the Florida Pre-Paid College Plan.
ScholarshipsFor fall, spring, and academic-year scholarships administered by the University of Florida International Center, the deadlines for application are: early March for programs starting in fall; and early October for programs starting in spring. Applications forms are available on the UF International Center web site:www.ufic.ufl.edu/sas
Health InsuranceStudents will be billed for mandatory international health insurance which includes emergency medical assistance.
French VisaAll students studying in France for longer than 90 days are required to travel to the French Consulate in Miami to obtain a student visa. UFIC will provide visa support.
Fees DueA $300 non-refundable fee is required within seven days of applying online. Students who will receive financial aid may contact the University of Florida International Center to arrange deferment until the disbursement of their financial aid.
