To ensure maximum visual impact, the logo must always be surrounded by a minimum protection space. This space will be equivalent to the size of two letter “M”s from the wordmark, placed one on top of the other and starting from the top of the outer typography line.

This space must always be completely free of any visual element.

PROTECTION SPACE

MINIMUM SIZE

In all applications, the height of the logo should never be less than the size of a 10-cent coin or 18 mm or 50 px for screen usage.

50 px18 mm

USAGE whEN lEGIbIlITy IS A CONCERN

When legibility is a concern (on a coloured, photographic or a busy background), use this alternate version of the logo as shown above. The minimum size 10-cent rule now applies to the white circle outer edge.

Accuracy and consistency are essential when reproducing the logo. Never recreate or alter it in any way.

qUICK REfERENCE GUIDEThe new logo reflects our brand attributes of pride, trust and innovation; and will, when used properly, visually communicate them. To become a brand that  is immediately recognizable in our markets, the Royal canadian Mint logo must be used in a clear, consistent and standardized manner. This Quick Reference Guide provides the basic rules governing how to use the new logo in all visual applications and how to apply the Royal canadian Mint brand in a manner that references our corporate image and creates a favourable impression every time.

every effort should be made to use the Primary visual Identity first and foremost. The identity is comprised of two parts – the emblem and the wordmark. They are not to be used individually without Brand Management approval. The guidelines to the right explain protection space, minimum size and situational variance.
