Increasing StudentMotivation andAccountability inthe Classroom andOnline
COURSEOVERVIEW
Supporting students to become
self-directed and interdependent
learners in both online and
classroom is a key to their
immediate and lifelong success.
Imagine if your students were:
Asking more meaningful
questions; designing their own
assignments; creating tutorials
for classmates; engaging in peer
to peer support; researching
with an ability to question their
results; providing self-
assessment. In turn, imagine
teachers who are: Learning
more about how their students
learn; saving enormous
amounts of time; responding to
the unique learning needs of
each student; designing highly
motivating assignments;
broadening their repertoire of
tools to support self-directed
learning. At the end of the
course, you will have created
assignments that support your
curriculum. This pedagogy of
student empowerment works
for both online and classroom
settings. Various tools will be
tools but it's not about tools.
