SEYCHELLES
The public education system caters for some 97% of the school-aged population can be summarized as;
✓A comprehensive, coeducational system, available free of charge to all Seychellois children
✓11years Compulsory education (age 6 to 16)
✓6 years primary and 5 years secondary
✓A system of further education at certificate and diploma levels available through tertiary non-university institutions. All students receive a bursary of US$60 monthly.
✓A system of tertiary university education available at nominal charge (parental contribution) to all Seychellois students who meet the selection criteria.
