About our tournament host…. Selsdon Park Hotel & Golf Club is a traditional, mature parkland golf course cut from the original thick forest that dominated this part of Surrey when the course was first designed by JH Taylor, five times winner of the British Open, in 1929. The course was fully renovated between January and April 2007 and today, the elevated greens and fairways lined with countless sycamore, beech, oak, silver birch and cedar trees, all make Selsdon a truly memorable course to play. In total the course has five par 5 holes, four of which measure over 500 yards. This need not be an intimidating experience, all but one of the nine par 4 holes are less than 400 yards and two of them are under 300 yards, so whether you are a handicapper or scratch player, Selsdon Park Hotel & Golf Club will give you the opportunity to dust down all of your clubs! The course stretches 6473 yards, a challenging par 73 and

takes around four and a half hours to complete.

What we do involves two of the most important things in Africa: HIV and Football. Almost everyone in Africa is affected by HIV and AIDS. Young people are particularly vulnerable. Football in Africa is incredibly popular and a great way of engaging with young people. We use football coaching to educate young Africans about sexual health, relationships and HIV. Specifically we teach young people how to avoid getting HIV, how to live with HIV if you have it, and how to support others to do the same. All our education is done on the pitch through unique interactive football drills, so young people enjoy, understand, learn and remember. We train African coaches, schoolteachers and youth leaders to do this coaching so that our work is African led and nobody is completely dependant on us. We call these people ‘multipliers’ as they are able to multiply our impact by training others We have a network of trained multipliers in the 6 countries

highlighted on the map.

East of England Building Services was set up in 2002 in response to increasing pressure on contractors through changes to the Construction Industry Scheme. Throughout the last 7 years, the Revenue has accepted that every single one of our subcontractors is legitimately self-employed – WITHOUT EXCEPTION. We now pay 1000s of subcontractors every week. CIS has evolved as a vehicle for Government to increase revenue taken from the construction industry rather than to “protect tax revenue” as originally declared. The current CIS system is restrictive and punitive, exposing companies to extortionate fines and penalties for non-compliance of worryingly vague and over-complicated regulations. Many contractors have been forced into putting their subcontractors ‘on the books’ or having to let them go altogether. EEBS provides a Revenue-approved alternative to costly employment for contractors wishing to retain flexibility in their workforce. EEBS is a labour only subcontractor that engages subcontractors introduced by companies who wish to make use of their services.
