Border Round 12 (CC5)You will ONLY be working into ch-1 sps in this round. Ignore all other stitches. Also, prepare to spend a LOT of TIME on this one! To quote a movie, this is the most tedious round ‘in the world of the land’. Oh, and this round will wobble!

Join CC5 by making a sl st in the first ch-1 sp of any side. (Ch 1, htr) in the same ch-1 sp. ([Htr, ch 1, sl st, ch 1, htr] in the next ch-1 sp) twice. (Htr, ch 1, sl st) in the last ch-1 sp of the Scallop.

*(Sl st, ch 1, htr) in the first ch-1 sp of the next Scallop. ([Htr, ch 1, sl st, ch 1, htr] in the next ch-1 sp) twice. (Htr, ch 1, sl st) in the last ch-1 sp of the Scallop.*

Repeat from * to * until you have worked into each Scallop all the way around. Ignore the stitch markers from the previous round and don’t remove them yet! Join by making a sl st in the next ch-1 sp, which will already contain the starting sl st. Fasten off and work away your ends.

Stitch Counts: • Total: 132 Flowers (22 Flowers per side) • Per Flower: 4 sl sts, 6 ch-1 sps, 6 htr

Border Round 13 (MC)In this round, you will be working ONLY into the sts from Border Round 11.

Join MC by making a standing FPdtr around any marked corner dc from Round 11. (Ch 1, FPdtr) around the same st. This is your first corner made.

*Ch 2, skip the next tr, BPtr around the next tr. Ch 1, BPdc around the next tr. Ch 1, BPtr around the next tr. (Ch 2, skip the next 3 sts, BPtr around the next tr. Ch 1, BPdc around the next tr. Ch 1, BPtr around the next tr) 21 times. There should now be 1 tr left before the next marked corner dc from Round 11. Ch 2, skip the last tr. (FPdtr, ch 1, FPdtr) around the next marked corner dc.*

Repeat from * to * 5 more times, omitting the last corner on the last repeat. Join to the first FPdtr with a sl st.

You may now remove those stitch markers.

Stitch Count Per Side: 22 BPdc, 44 BPtr, 2 FPdtr, 44 ch-1 sps, and 23 ch-2 sps, (not including ch-1 corner sps)
