Asbestos awareness refresher
training is recommended for those
who have completed the initial
Asbestos Awareness course within
the last 12 months.
Successful completion of the
course will refresh delegates of the
basic awareness of asbestos and
ensure compliance with Regulation
10 of the Control of Asbestos
Regulations.
Who needs this qualification?
Asbestos Awareness Refresher Training is
designed for employees whose work could
expose them to asbestos. The training requires
delegates to have attended an Asbestos
Awareness course with the last 12 months.
Why is this training important?
This qualification will provide an awareness and
develop the knowledge amongst employees as
regards the hazards and risks posed by
asbestos containing materials (ACM’s). The
course further gives an overview of legislative
measures in place to permit employees to
safeguard themselves and others affected by
work activities.

Successful candidates will be able to:
Understand the legislation involved in dealing with
asbestos
Find out how damaging asbestos can be to your
health
Decipher the types, uses and likely occurrences of
asbestos
Learn about how to deal with asbestos in an
emergency
