Ukrainian Open Amateur Championship 2014 WAGR Counting Event

I. Dates and Venue The competition is to take place on July 4-6, 2014 at Superior Golf & SPA Resort in

II. Conditions

Form of Play 54 holes Stroke Play over 3 days. Men play from WHITE: 6 076 meters, par 72, CR 73.7, SR 151. Ladies from BLUE: 5 289 meters, par 72, CR 75.5, SR 150. Eligibility Men and Ladies: amateur players with confirmed handicap of 26.4 or better. Results 1) European Challenge Tour wildcard

The winner of the Championship among Men will be awarded wildcard for the European Challenge Tour event – “Kharkov Superior Cup” that will take place on Sep 11-14 at the same course in Superior Golf & SPA Resort.

2) Title The winners of the Championship among Men and Ladies shall be awarded the titles of the Ukrainian Open Amateur Champions respectively for a period of one year.

3) World Amateur Golf Ranking The Championship qualifies as a Counting event for World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). The actual WAGR category is assigned upon results submission. To become a Ranked Player, a competitor should win Category G Event. More details are available on www.wagr.com

Caddies A player is prohibited from having professional golfer serve as his caddy during the stipulated round. Transportation Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless

authorized by Committee. The specimen Condition in the Rules of Golf is in effect – see page 142. Distance measuring devices (DMD) Permitted by Local Rules.

III. Entries a) Entries are accepted on the official entry form and should be received at the UGF office, or at the host golf club. b) Handicaps of the international players should be confirmed by the respective National governing bodies. c) Max number of players – 120. Registration deadline is Monday, June 30 at 15:00 Accommodation reservation deadline is Monday, June 23. Official Entry Form is attached.

IV. Entry Fee The entry fee is 1 400 UAH (~90 EUR). Fee covers:

Green fee for 3 competition rounds (54 holes) Green fee for practice round at practice day Unlimited balls at Driving Range, Putting & Chipping Greens for all days

Participants are kindly requested to pay this amount at the Club’s reception upon arrival.

V. Prizes Organizers identify the following nominations: a) Gross – based on 54 holes results; b) Netto – with handicaps, based on 54 holes results; c) Longest Drive and Nearest to the Pin at the 3rd, final, round.

Note: the final number of nominated players depends on the actual number of gifts and prizes available from sponsors.

Note: if you are late with reservation, there are many beautiful hotels in the city of Kharkiv. They are all within 20 minutes’ drive from the course for the taxi price of ~5 Euro one way. The Club will be happy to arrange your stay for similar cost.

VIII. Transportation After Euro 2012 there are more direct flights opened to Kharkiv from European cities.

• Kharkiv International Airport (HRK) is located 25 km from the Club. Alternatively, you could fly to Kyiv:

• Boryspil International Airport (KBP) – destination for all major airlines. • Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) (IEV) – Wizz Air gets there for low cost.

Then high-speed train from Kyiv to Kharkiv for 4.5 hours for ~30 Euro one way. There are three trains per day: morning, midday and evening. Golf Club is located within city borders. It is very easy to navigate in Kharkiv. One way taxi ride between any two points should take under 20 minutes for the cost of ~5 Euro. Kharkiv is the second largest city in Ukraine with many interesting sights to see. It is considered a young city, because of students who attend over hundreds of establishments of higher education. Golf Club’s reception will be happy to suggest activity for your free time to learn more about Kharkiv and Ukraine.
