The Ulster County Italian American Foundation will be holding its inaugural Italian Festival on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Kingston Waterfront and TR Gallo Park on Lower Broadway. The event will begin at 12 noon with Opening Ceremonies recognizing the event and the contributions of Mayor Shane Gallo in assisting the new Non Pro t organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the Italian heritage and culture in Ulster County and beyond. The Festival will end at 8pm.

The Festival will feature a fantastic selection of authentic Italian food, deserts and products provided by over 15 vendors. Italian wines and beers will be available.

Entertainment will commence at 12:30 pm and the key performers will be Maria Todaro, Opera Star, Hot Rod, the Phantoms, The Michael Dell Orchestra and Dekades the Band. There will also be many street performers walking throughout the crowds for the enjoyment of the festival attendees!

The Vice Consul of Italy, Stefano Acunto will be present at 3pm in addition to County Offi cials, Senator George Amedore amongst other local dignitaries and elected offi cials.

Proceeds from the Italian Festival will be used to start a Scholarship fund at Ulster County High Schools for students who embody the preservation and promotion of the Italian Culture through their studies.

There is no charge to attend the Italian Festival and it will be a rain or shine event. Over 20 area businesses and elected offi cials have sponsored this inaugural event. For more information contact: ucia nc@gmail.com
