runs high, this is the name that Zimbabwe's local people

have given to this awesome natural phenomenon.Five separate falls make up this incredible spectacle that

plunges more than 100 m into a sheer-sided chasm which separates Zimbabwe from Zambia, with 75% of the vistas

being on the Zimbabwean side.

Tiger Fishing in Africa has been the

most popular sport fish for many years.

The reason Tiger fishing is so popular

is because they are incredible fighters,

the world's best. It has been said that a

Tiger fish will fight to it's death. A

mistake many anglers make is to boat a

green fish, one that has lots of spunk

left in him. The teeth of the Tiger Fish

are long and razor sharp. Once they are

in the boat they will continue to thrash

around slashing anything and

everything within reach, so the angler

has to be very careful. Tiger fish

average around 10 to 15 lbs but can

grow over 20 lbs. Zambezi River fish

tend to be smaller than the fish in Lake

Kariba but pound for pound they fight

just as hard.

TIGER FISHING THE ZAMBEZI RIVER THE ULTIMATE WAYTiger Fish can be considered Africa's equivalent of the South American piranha, though they belong to a different family. They gain this reputation as the former are famous for their ferocity when hunting.....

“Zambezi River fish tend to be smaller than the fish in Lake Kariba but pound for pound they fight just as hard and can be caught on a fly with special steel leaders.”

“Besides catching the hard fighting Tiger Fish there are also plenty of good tasting Newbwe’s (Yellow Belly Bream) and various other species such as Cat Fish, Yellow Fish and numerous smaller Bream species.”
