SUB: Ultimatum for regularisation of services of Jr.Lecturers

Sir,

With much regret we must bring to your notice

That now we, the junior lecturers, are pushed to a dead end because our Assisting staff members i.e. the Lab assts

who work under our guidance are regularised in their services from September 2013 whereas we, junior lecturers

are neglected and are compelled to work at a paltry sum of Rs 12,500/-only. This creates unbearable social

humiliation and mental distress to us in the work station.

That we work in the remotest parts of KBK where even the lecturers of aided colleges of higher education

departmentbecome eligible for full grant after 7 years of their services (as per the GO of The Govt of Odisha) but we

even after completion of 8th

year of our services are still given a meagre salary of Rs 12,500/- and our services are

not regularised. This indicates the exploitative nature of the Government.

That other departments of Odisha like Employment &Technical Education and Training Department appointed

contractual resource persons as Lecturers on Ad Hoc basis in the Year 2013 but pays salary at par with regular

service. However, the junior lecturers of ST and SC Dev Deptt are neglected till date without any valid reason.

As all our repeated prayers and appeals on the above points have failed and the Govt is repeatedly neglecting our

cause, we have no resort left in our hand.

We, all the junior lecturers of ST and SC Development Department, for the last time, place our demands (given

below in bulleted form) before the Government to be redressed in 15 working days failing which we will be

compelled to withdraw our services from 8th

DEC 2014. And all the junior lecturers will sit-down in front of Bidhan

Sabha Odisha in protest.

And the Govt will be responsible for all the losses and serious repercussions.

Our long pending legitimate demand

Regularisation of the services of Junior lecturers working in 8 Govt SSD Higher Secondary Schools in KBK

This letter must be treated as an ultimatum from the junior lecturers of ST and SC Development Department who

have been discharging their duties in the remotest parts of KBK districts for the last NINE YEARS with utmost

sincerity.

It may also be noted that the PGTs of the department will also withdraw their services during the strike period in

protest to no definite policy of the department regarding the meritorious students who work as PGTs in the

interior pockets of KBK dedicatedly.

STRATEGY OF STRIKE FOR ALL JUNIOR LECTURERS

1. BY MONDAY I.E. 24 ALL CLUSTER SHOULD HAND OVER ULTIMATUM TO COLLECTORS

2. ALL OLD CLUSTERS SHALL MOTIVATE THE PGTS AND NEAREST NEW CLUSTERS TO SUPPORT OUR CAUSES

3. SEND THE ABOVE MENTIONED LETTERS TO NEAREST NEW CLUSTERS TO GARNER THEIR SUPPORT SO THAT THEYWILL ALSO CLOSE DOWN THEIR CLUSTERS (IF NOT WEAR BLACK BADGES) DURING THE STRIKE PERIOD

4. FORM A COORDINATING COMMITTEE OF 8 MEMBERS (ONE MEMBER FROM EACH CLUSTER) TO NEGOTIATE

AND CALL OFF THE STRIKE

5. FORM A COMMITTEE OF MEMBERS TO COORDINATE WITH MEDIA

6. IF NOTHING POSITIVE COMES OUT BY 6TH

DECEMBER, ALL MEMBERS WILL PROCEED TO BBSR ON 7TH

DEC BUT A

PREPARATORY GROUP SHALL MOVE BY 6TH

FOR NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS

7. EACH MEMBER HAS TO CONTRIBUTE RS 2000/- BY 3
