For the first time in Romania, 24h of continuous swimming!

In 2013 Camelia Potec, Carmen Bunaciu, Dragoș Coman, Anca Pătrășcoiu, Răzvan Florea, Ionela Cozma and other 60 people swam more than 300 km and raised 25.000 lei for the construction of the HOSPICE Casa Speranţei palliative care centre in Bucharest.

This year, Ultra Swim Challenge, at it’s second edition, will challenge athletes, professional swimmers, celebrities, corporate employees and amateurs on February 8th 2014 at Izvorani Olympic Center.

24h RECORD BREAKINGOur volunteer, Remus Miron, an amateur swimmer, will try to break a record in Romania by swimming continuously for 24 hours.

We challenge you to join us by registering your employees and sponsoring this competition to help the HOSPICE palliative care centre open its doors for terminally ill patients this year.HOSPICE Casa Speranţei has built a hospice in Bucharest and it is expected to take in care the first patients by the end of September 2014. For this, we still need 800.000 EUR for medical equipment and furniture.

HOSPICE will provide each year:

• Medical care for 2000 patients• Day care facilities with 5,000 attendances• Home care with over 11,000 home visits• Out-patient clinic with over 8,000 consultations• Specialist support services for breast care, stoma and lymphoedema
