Congratulations on buying Arthrosound, the new way of treating pain at home.Arthrosound uses Ultrasound therapy, which was first applied in the medical world over sixty years ago when it was proven to relieve joint pain and inflammation in people with arthritis and other chronic pain conditions. In recent years, due to advances in technology, ultrasound therapy has improved even further and has become an accepted, safe and effective part of treating joint pain by the NHS and throughout the rest of the medical world.

Arthrosound must be used with a conductive gel and we recommend using Glucosamine Gold Gel as it also helps maintain your joint health and mobility.

1. ULTRASOUND THERAPY Arthrosound uses the same Ultrasound therapy used in hospitals to promote healing and provide effective pain relief. It treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions by treating inflammation and pain in muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments.

2. TOPICAL JOINT GEL The conductive gel used with Arthrosound is called Glucosamine Gold Gel. Unlike other conductive gels, Glucosamine Gold Gel contains 3 key active ingredients to help improve your joint health and mobility.

3. SONOPHORESIS Through a clinically proven process called Sonophoresis, Arthrosound increases your skin’s permeability so increasing the amount of Glucosamine Gold Gel that penetrates into your skin.

Arthrosound is simple and easy to operate.

Instructions

1. Make sure the area to be treated is completely clean.

2. Connect the device by inserting the adapter into the base of the Arthrosound device and then plug into a wall socket.

3. Apply the Glucosamine Gold Gel to the area to be treated (ultrasound waves only work when the Glucosamine Gold Gel is used).

4. Depress the power button for 1 second until the light on top of the unit turns green.

– To treat joint pain, gently massage the skin above the painful area with a rotating method as shown below.

– For pain in larger muscles, gently massage the skin with a stroking method for 2-3 seconds each time for a distance of approximately 10cm.

5. We recommend you use Arthrosound for 5 minutes, three times a day on each area in pain. There is no need to apply Arthrosound for more than 15 minutes a day on the same area.

6. The Glucosamine Gold Gel will absorb into your skin so make sure you re-apply more gel throughout the treatment when you need to.

7. You may experience some warmth in the area being treated and you may also feel the small mini-vibrations on your skin that pulse on and off as you move the device. This is entirely normal.

8. Arthrosound is equipped with a safety cut off timer that will automatically switch off approx 10 minutes after depressing the power button. This is to prevent over-use on one particular area.

9. Upon completion of the treatment, simply rub any excess Glucosamine Gold Gel into your skin and clean the Arthrosound device with a dry cloth (do not use any harsh detergents, abrasives, solvents or cleaners), switch it off and unplug your unit from the mains.

Please note: Do not leave your Arthrosound switched on when not in use, as it may become hot.

– People with local circulatory insufficiency should consult their health practitioner before use.

– Do not use on desensitised (numb, hypoaesthesia) areas of the skin (e.g. diabetic neuropathy).

– The socket outlet should be installed near the equipment and should be easily accessible.

– for the treatment of malignancy (application over a tumour)

– on the skin over metal implants, including pacemakers or other electronic implants.

– on an infected or bleeding area which is to be treated

– on the skin over vascular abnormalities (such as haemangioma, capillary, lymphatic, arterial or arterio-venous malformations)

– directly on the abdomen of pregnant women

– directly over active epiphysis regions (growth plates), over the eyes, skull or testes

– over open wounds
