Mission
To establish uniformity and reliability in measurements through the development, maintenance, dissemination and improvement of internationally accepted national reference measurement standards and techniques for the purpose of contributing to the nation’s quality of life and economic competitiveness.
Vision
To become a Center of Excellence and Leader in the world of metrology .

• To establish and maintain national measurement
reference standards in accordance with the definition of
base and derived SI Units
• To ensure the traceability of national measurement
reference standards to international standards
• To establish a national measurement system and provide
services to the laboratories within this system in terms of
calibration, training, consultancy and other mechanisms
