Graduate School Reports – UMetrx Applicant Details and Summary Reports

Navigation and logging in:

Go to SPIRE and click on the UMetrx link at the bottom, right hand corner of the log on screen.

Logon to UMetrx with your NetID and Password.

Getting to the reports:

At the top of the UMetrx page, select the Graduate Admissions Dashboard and the tab for the report you want to run.

Running the report:

Select your criteria and then press ‘Go’ to generate the report. Using the selection boxes: Click the three-dot icon […] to open each selection box. Use your mouse to select the desired option on the right and click on the Move button [<] to move that item to the selection area on the left. Click ‘OK’ to finish. You can also use the Edit button to manually type the semester and year. Use the Move All button [<<] to move all options to the selected area. Click on ‘Go’ when you are done choosing selections.

Viewing the results:

Sorting the results: Most report results will default to alphabetical order by last name, but all of the columns are sortable by clicking on the column header. If a column is marked with a gray triangle or , then it is currently sorted on that column. Navigation: If there is more than one page of results, navigation arrows will appear at the bottom of the report which can be used to view the report page by page on the screen. To view the entire list, click on the arrow with the * after it.

Downloading the results:

You may download the report directly to Excel at this point by clicking on the Download link at the bottom of the report.

A list of current reports: Prospect Inquiry Report – a list of persons who have requested more information about your program. It includes contact information for those prospective applicants. Applicant Details – a list of applicants and a brief summary of materials received for each. It includes application status, contact information, test scores, previous institutions, and citizenship for applicants. Application Summary – a summary report of department applicant totals. It includes a graph and counts by application status and academic level. Exit Survey – a list of reasons for not attending the University provided by admitted applicants who use the online withdrawal option. This replaces the back of the old confirmation/withdrawal notification card. (See separate documentation.)

Application Summary – application totals by status and level:

When viewing the Applicant Summary report, click on any highlighted number to open a new report with specific applicant IDs for that total.
