Universal Universal was founded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle It is the oldest American movie studios and is one of
the six major movie studios.
The picture of the earth behind the thick bold letterings give universal a unique logo which allows people to identify it easily.

DreamWorks DreamWorks was founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg,
Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen. The first letter of their surnames form the ‘SKG’ on the
bottom of the logo. It has produced/ distributed more than 10 films with box
office-grosses totalling more than $100 million each.
The boy on the crescent moon was Spielberg’s idea and he also wanted the whole logo to be animated.

Further Research A lot of logos have equal width and height, and a lot
seem to incorporate a circular shape. This can help make them easier to place and use, such as in icons or on posters. This also makes them look neater.
Companies may use a historical background to the logo for their film company. For example, Warner Bros. logo incorporates a shield with the letters WB on it, with a banner over the top. The shield resembles a family's coat of arms.
