Partnership…

“I thank my God in all my

remembrance of you, always

in every prayer of mine for

you all making my prayer

with joy, because of your

partnership in the gospel

from the first day until

now.” Philippians 1:3-4

I, your bishop, thank God

for the faithfulness of the

United Methodist

Neighborhood Services that

has served people of low-

income in the Philadelphia

area for many years. They

have moved to a new

location in the Germantown

area at the Janes Memorial

UMC and are continuing

this legacy of compassion

and justice through food and

clothing distribution. They

hope to resume some of

their other ministries in the

future such as the Saturday

Sidewalk Sunday School, a

hot lunch for people visiting

the building, and case

management services.

Much of the income for this

ministry comes from the

United Methodist Women,

Do not forget to

Warm Welcome from Janes UMC...

The Move…

Fellowship with Rev. Foster, Pastor and United Methodist Women of Janes Memorial UMC is

the beginning of a great relationship. Also, the trustee committee have been a blessing and

encouragement to the agency in the transition into the facility.

Volunteers worked with the Board of

Directors in packing and clearing out the

building by getting rid of things that were

not needed over the summer months.

The Board of Directors finalized all of the

necessary business for the sale of 804 N.

Broad Street and made a decision for the

new location.

Everyone’s efforts made the move in

December of 2016 a success and now we

are operating and sharing resources in the

Germantown area of the city with State

Representative Stephen Kinsey and others.

Eastwick United Methodist Women clothing bank is housed in their

mission house located in South West Philadelphia. They are one of many

church ministries that provide new and gently used items for infants,

children, woman and men to the agency.

Ms. Myrtle and Ms. Katherine assist with organizing and always provide a

warm welcome when picking up donations.

Berwyn UMC: Feed the 5K Mission Project Every year during the Lenten season, the church collects food and provides over 50 bags to the agency.
