Remote Electrical Tilt(RET) System

The Portable Control Adapter (PCA) is specially designed for portable applications and for use by installers and maintenance staff.

Slimline RCU with small dimensions and daisy-chain functionality.

It is a simple device for running the RCU attached to the Kathrein base station antennas, and for adjusting the vertical electrical downtilt locally.

Kathrein's overall RET System works in accor-dance with the AISG (Antenna Interface Standards Group) and 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) standard. With all RET components both standards are served at the same time.

With Kathrein's wide-band antennasthe active frequency range is exten-ded to 1710-2690 MHz. The anten-nas are suitable for operation in all networks covering GSM 1800, CDMA 1900 (PCS), UMTS and LTE 2.6 which can lead to a considerably reduced number of antennas needed by network operators. In case of double unit versions, two identical antennas are inte-grated into one radome for independent down-tilting.

Kathrein's unique antenna tech-nology combines three different frequency ranges installed into just a single radome.With Kathrein's triple-band anten-nas, containing two radiating systems and integrated filter com-ponents, the mechanical dimensions are only slightly larger than those of a pure GSM 900 antenna.You can also choose Kathrein's triple-band antennas made up of three radiating systems. This offers the possibility of using just one antenna for CDMA 800/GSM 900, GSM 1800/ CDMA 1900 (PCS), UMTS and LTE 2.6.

With the product launch of quad-band antennas, Kathrein is pleased to introduce a new generation of multi-band antennas. Four antenna systems for 900/1800/3G and LTE 2.6 in one common radome and each system equipped with independent electrical downtilt mechanism.
