TheUnitedNationsAssociationofAustralia(UNAA)offersthiscompetitiveinternshiptogivetheselectedinterntheopportunitytoworkinaroledirectlyreportingtotheUNAANational ExecutiveDirector,while growing their skills and gaining extensiveexperiencewithoneoftheAustralia'sleadinginternationalaffairsNGO’s.

Thisinternshipisopentoalluniversitystudentsandgraduates.
Whatisinvolved?
ThesuccessfulapplicantwillreporttotheUNAANationalExecutiveDirectorforsixmonths.TheinternshipswillbeunpaidandrequireaminimumoftwodaysperweekintheUNAA’ssmallnationalofficeinCanberra,ACT.ThereissomeflexibilityforthesuccessfulapplicanttoworkremotelyfromtheirhomeifbasedinanotherAustralianStateorTerritoryasperformancewillbe judgedonoutcomesrather thanphysicalpresence in the office. The UNAA is largely decentralised with employees andvolunteersbasedalloverAustralia.
TheinternshiprolewillvarydependingontheskillsandexperiencesoftheinternandcurrentprojectsbeingundertakenbytheUNAA.Applicantsshouldbeself-starters,energetic,innovative,possesshighlevelsofintegrity,abletomaintaindiscretiononsensitivemattersandwillingtoworkonallmannerofitemsfromtheinteresting,suchasspeechorpolicywriting,totheheavyliftingtaskssuchasreplyingtoemailenquiries
