PURPOSE

The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel and

facilities for, and, in accordance with any instructions issued by the

Sciehtific Officer or his authorized representative, shall conduct

research leading to the design and development of two (2) airborne

intercept systems to provide for rapid airborne intercept of communi-

cation signals.

II 1ABSTRACT

On 1 May 1965, work commenced on the design and fabrication

of two airborne receiving systems with technical capabilities as outlined

on Poster DSL 1189, classified SECRET. To date, approximately

seventy-two per cent of the commercial equipment to be used in these

systems has been ordered and approximately fifty per cent of the equip-

ment has been received. 1
