WHAT IS PULSEPULSE is a student-launched movement that exists to
train, resource, and partner with communities to impact
the next generation through the message of Jesus
Christ. Since 2005, the Pulse team has led 23 citywide
outreach events, reaching over forty thousand North
Dakota and Minnesota young adults and another ninety
thousand nationally.
WHY PULSEThis generation is hurting and searching for truth.
Sixty percent are experimenting with illicit drugs, and
North Dakota teens lead the nation in underage binge
drinking. Depression rates are spiking and suicide is the
third leading cause of death. Spiritually, 60-90% of
evangelical teens are losing their faith during college.
Pulse is an aggressive effort to combat these trends with
the timeless truth of Jesus.

THE COSTSMarketing gurus estimate the lifetime value of brand
loyalty of one teen to be worth $100,000. How much
more is one life worth to God? The UND Pulse initiative
will impact over 5,000 collegians at a cost of $20 per
student, a small price compared to the cost of doing
nothing.
WHY RAISE THE MONEYThis generation needs the Gospel. PULSE events draw
in students with a high-quality free event, speaking a
language they understand. Students are searching for
love and community. PULSE events are an aggressive
effort to provide a relevant setting that bridges the gap
between students and the community of Christ.
PARTNERThe UND PULSE initiative provides a real opportunity
to invest in the next generation of future leaders. Please
consider how you might give to this exciting initiative. If
you’re interested, sponsorship options are available to
local businesses upon request.
?
UND PULSEAt the invitation of college students and leaders from the
Grand Forks area, PULSE is bringing a series of events
to UND over the fall semester of 2009. These events
will include team meetings, prayer groups, a Kickoff
concert event, leadership training events and a 5,000+
attendance concert and outreach featuring Toby Mac
and Relient K at the Alerus Center on December 5th.
“The PULSE team is reaching out to the younger generation and
literally transforming lives by leading people to Christ. We have
seen the results and hope you will join us in supporting the PULSE
mission.”
“My friend came to know Christ at the PULSE event.”
“I really needed this concert. It could not have come at a better
time in my life.”
“Tonight saved my faith. Thank you for coming to Jamestown.”
“A PULSE event is a great way to get students to do something
other than party.”
