ITM is a world leading specialist designer and manufacturer

of complete undercarriage solutions for major OEM’s,

covering virtually the entire range of modern crawler machine

applications in the construction, mining, utility, forestry, road

building, and agricultural industries.

The extensive know-how of Intertractor on hydrostatic drives

and steel structures, combined with the vast knowledge and

experience of ITM on undercarriage components, allow the

company to develop innovative, reliable and competitive

products that meet the most demanding applications.

Through engineering expertise, ITM Intertractor can offer

its customers specifically designed system solutions for

machines up to 2500 ton., manufactured to satisfy the mines’

requirements.

Tailormade solutions for conventional machines, such as

drill rigs, as well as special applications, such as stacker

bridges, mobile conveyors, bucket wheel excavators, mobile

crushers and reclaimers, are part of the range offered by ITM

Intertractor. The company also supplies system solutions for

subsea mining crawler equipment in the offshore industry.

The Group also manufactures and supplies a range of Ground Engaging Tool (GETs). Moreover the Pyrsa foundry is involved in the development of new product lines such as steel brakes, ingot mould and brackets for truck cranes.

ITM’s global reach is not limited to OEM’s, since it also supplies the Aftermarket via a worldwide network of the industry’s top dealers and distributors.

Through the extensive expertise in the design and manufacture of undercarriage components and complete undercarriages, and the usage of the most advanced technologies, ITM develops innovative, reliable and competitive products, that meet the highest quality standards.

In every project we utilizes advanced CAD systems and apply rapid prototyping methods to supply innovative solutions responding to the increasingly demanding needs of the market.Our engineering departments apply the most modern design and engineering dynamic simulation techniques such as the Finite Elements Method (FEM) and conduct experimental structural analysis tests to validate the numerical results previously achieved.

The Research and Development department is constantly attentive to the products’ functional performance and optimization, and is engaged in the development of new materials aimed at further increasing the wear life of the components. These new materials have properties that exceed those of conventional steels.

The company’s testing department is equipped with testing rigs fully engineered in-house, that allow the reproduction of the components’ real operating conditions. The analysis of the data resulting after hundred hours of dynamic simulation, allows the elimination of any possible weak point of the component and, at the same time, permits the “quantitative” verification of the advantages resulting from the product improvement and the new project configuration.To further refine its designs the team conducts field tests to validate the results of the virtual analysis and the laboratory tests.

Through the innovative production processes and the extensive know-how on special heat treatments, we are able to supply high quality components prepared for excellent wear resistance and suitable for any environmental condition.
