CHICAGO LANDMARK DIAMOND CENTERThe Chicago Diamond Center Project was primarily a interior renovation project of early 20th century building in the heart of the Jeweler’s Row District in downtown Chicago. This collaborative development project consisted of reno-vating the first floor, mezzanine, and second floor to provide a more luxurious shopping experience while maximizing

profit margins. Utilizing programs such as Revit, Sketch-Up, and Rhino we as group were able to create a more intrigu-ing experience for the customer and tenants of the mall, due to our attention to planning and level of detail .

MIAMI UNIVERSITY MUSEUM ADDITIONThe Museum Addition Project dealt with adding additional gallery, storage, and office space to the already existing

Miami Univeristy Art Museum designed by Walter Netsch. The design for the addition consisted of utilizing Netsch’s Field Theory to create a very ordered and simple addition that maintained the consistency of the existing museum. With attention to the patrons and the employees of the museum, this project stresses strong aspects of spatial plan-

ning along with a focus on sustainable and green strategy development.

Utilinzing the Beyeler Museum by Renzo Piano as a precedent, the use of sunshades in this Miami University Art Museum is intended to bring more natural light iinto the gallery spaces below. Structure consists of frosted glass plates placed on a double paned glass roof. I-beams between the space of

the two panes that also provide the anchoring points for the shades themselves. Ideally light would defelect off the shades and be diffused through the ceiiling structure to provide natural ambient light-

ing to the galleries below.

CLIFTON LIBRARY RENOVATIONPlaced in the heart of the Clifton suburb of Cincinnati , Ohio , this collaborative project deals with the renovation

of an existing library to add additional space and become a centerpiece for the multi-cultural area that Clifton is characterized as. Our intentions with this project consisted of creating a very transparent facade that opens up to

the streetscape along with maintaining a strict program and spatial plan. Our group also stressed the importance of the existing building and its structure, along with other sustainable measures of ventilation and lighting strategies.

WARMING HUT COMPETITIONThe Warming Hut project consisted of creating an installation or hut to be placed on The Fork’s River in the heart of

Winnipeg, Ontario. Going along with Canadian culture, I wanted to create something that would connect to the community the community of Winnpeg. My concept utilizes the aesthetic of a hockey stick but I extruded and dis-torted it to create and open area bench like system to engage the skaters on the river. Each individual piece can

be moved and interlocked in a way to create a larger or smaller system depending on the space provided.
