I t i s now a w e l l known f a c t -tfliat the Glasgovr Subway suddenly c l o s e d on 2 l s t May 1 9 7 7 , a week e a r l i e r than planned. By 2 9 t h May, the Greater Glasgow P.T.E. had introduced three bus routes f o r the duration of the Underground Modernisation works. They run a t 2 0 minute i n t e r v a l s and a r e : -Route 1 0 0 - A l l S t a t i o n s (Outer C i r c l e ) - Journey time approx. 1 hour Route 1 0 1 - A l l S t a t i o n s ( I n n e r C i r c l e ) -Journey time approx. 1 hour Route 1 0 2 - Govan Cross and P a r t i c k Cross v i a Clyde Tunnel
