Demonstrate revolution:

Why do we have seasons?

With the tilt of the earth and the revolution around the sun, the Earth experiences different seasons:

When is it summer? When the hemisphere is tilted towards the sun

When is it winter? When the hemisphere is tilted away from the sun

Seasons are… Opposite

What are the solstices? Summer = longest day of the year (daylight)Winter = shortest day of the year (darkness)

Equinoxes are… When the earth is directly above the equator and is not tilted towards or away from the sun
