Understanding our Editing Software:

The software that we decided to use for our final video was Adobe Premiere 2.0. To begin to understand the software we had got a hold of a tutorial CD that showed us how to do certain things; as the screen shots

below exhibit.

The introduction of the CD just discusses the basics of using Adobe Premiere, with a man talking about what its features contain. Also below the screen shot, reveals how to insert clips and cut them. Further its shows how to control sound waves and control the number of sequences to

contain within your timeline.

This screenshot shows how to export files and render specific sequences. Also this shows how to apply basic effects and transitions of both video transitions and

audio transitions. Finally it shows how to add the same sequences within the same time frame.

The next screenshot reveals how to put videos in the same time frame, and then synchronize them to enable how to crop, and show different clips all at the same in different sections of the

screen. Also it reveals the way of applying tone, texture and colour control to the frame.

The screenshot below shows how to add effects to synchronized clips, and splitting through cropping, which can help in forms of cloning. There are also tips on cutting through the frame at

different points, transactions and transformations.

The final screenshot shows how to split-screen , and zooming in and out of different frames in forms of transitions, and finally adding in credits, and exporting back to multi-cam (which does

not apply to our group, as a DV camera was used).
