Measuring PerformanceThe Gold Standard used to be 5 A* - C gradesThis then became the Level 2 ThresholdThis allows us to measure performance in Vocational Subjects such as Engineering or Hospitality & CateringThis gave vocational courses equal standing against traditional options
The Gold StandardThe Level 2 Threshold became the new label for the Gold StandardSchool and pupil were measured by this markerIt determined what course/courses you were able to take in College/6th FormA marker that employers valued
National Priorities Literacy & NumeracyRecent focus has turned to Literacy & NumeracyHighlighted by employers The importance of achieving A* - C Grades in Mathematics and English is higher than everThe new benchmark of success has now become the Level 2 Threshold including Eng & MathOr 5 A* - C Grades including Eng & Math
