COURSE OBJECTIVE

The general objective of this course is to carry the students along in a journey in the school of understanding for greater manifestation of power. As the understanding dawns, the manifestation of potency of the anointing will follow. The course is designed to give a better understanding or appreciation of the personality of the Holy Spirit and how He functions, how to grow in the anointing and how to sustain the anointing.



LESSON ONE

INTRODUCTION

Understanding is what commands and injects life (Ps. 119:44). Great waves are made possible through knowledge. When somebody is making some great waves, they say “they are the ones that know the way”. It is Understanding makes the difference. With all thy getting, get understanding (Prov. 4:7), because Understanding imparts wisdom (Prov. 10:23b) The delivery of the benefits of The Anointing is made possible when your understanding is opened. Lk.24:45 “Understanding is the gateway to the blessings of life. It guarantees access to covenant blessings. We need to know that we have entered the explosive era of the Church. It is evident that the Church of Jesus is beginning to explode; God is making people out of ‘no-people’. There is no method Satan can use to undermine the prominence of the end-time Church. Understanding is the key to every form of encounter. When the Ethiopian Eunuch understood it, he partook of salvation (Acts 8:26 - 38). When you understand the Anointing, you partake of the Anointing and stay with it.

WHAT IS THE ANOINTING?

It is the supernatural empowerment of the Holy Spirit:- working, functioning or operating in the power of the Holy Spirit.

God’s avenue/device for supernatural accomplishments.

It is the Holy Spirit at work in you.

It is an overflow of the Holy Spirit through human vessel.

It is an empowerment for triumph, victory, success, breakthroughs, comfortable

living etc.

It is working in the power of the Holy Spirit or enjoying supernatural Encounters

(Acts 10:38)

However, You cannot understand the anointing without understanding who the Holy

Spirit is and His mission.



LESSON TWO

WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

The Holy Spirit came to reveal the sonship of the sons of God. He is the personality to lean on today if we want to became accomplished. The Holy Spirit is not a falling. He is not a feeling. He is simply the Holy Spirit - a personality who has emotions (Rm. 8:27). He is the power at work in the believer (Eph. 3:20,21). The Bible says:

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil”

(Acts 10:38)

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the trinity (I Jn. 5:7). Jesus went about doing good because He was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power. In Matt. 3:16,17 - The Holy Spirit came upon Jesus in the form of a dove and he announced His sonship in God. The Personality of the Holy Spirit He is eternal (Heb. 9:14) He is Omniscient (I Cor. 2:10) He is Omnipotent (Lk. 1:35) He is Omnipresent (Ps. 139:7-8) The Holy Spirit does things that only God can do: 1. He enables men receive salvation (Jn. 3:5-7) 2. He reproves the world (Jn. 16:8) 3. He casts out devils (Matt. 12:28) 4. He raises the dead (Rm. 8:11)



LESSON THREE

THE SEVEN DIMENSIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Rev. 3:1 says: “And unto the angel of the Church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars …” This tells us that the Holy Spirit which Jesus had is made up of seven spirits and this is further confirmed in Rev. 5:6. “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent forth into all the earth’

Remember that in Ephesians 4:4-5, the Bible says, “There is one spirit…” This means that there is one Holy Spirit, but He operates in seven dimensions. This helps your understanding of the different forces in operation in the Anointing. His seven dimensions of operation are unfolded in Prophet Isaiah’s prophecy concerning the birth of Jesus: “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow rest upon him, the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom, and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord” (Isaiah 11:1-2)

The Holy Spirit is essentially the spirit of wisdom and might. He rested on Jesus (Lk. 4:18) as wisdom & might. Lk. 2:40-52, I Cor. 1:24. He rested upon David (I Sam. 16:13) as might (I Sam. 17) Where David defeated Goliath and as wisdom (I Sam. 18:14, 15, 30).

LESSON FOUR

THE MISSION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE ANOINTING

The summary of the mission of the Holy Spirit is to make you of quick understanding (Is. 11:3) “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…. And

he will show you things to come” (Jn. 16:13)

The initial baptism in the Holy Spirit brings you into an encounter with the spirit of the Lord, that is, your initiation into the spirit world as it were. The anointing opens you up to the operation of the seven forces of the Holy Spirit, five of which are wisdom oriented. The mission of the Holy Spirit is 71.4% wisdom oriented. When Jesus spoke about the Holy Spirit in Jn 14:26 & 16:13, He gave Him a revelational responsibility. He is to teach, bring all things to remembrance, guide into and show (reveal) things to come. How does the Holy Spirit accomplish this mission?

Through the spirit of wisdom - His principal component.

In Deut. 34:9:

“Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom for Moses had laid his

hands upon him…”



Joshua became irresistible, unstoppable and immolestable by the spirit of wisdom that was operating in him (Jos. 1:3). Joseph also demonstrated the efficacy of the spirit of wisdom in Gen. 41:38-44 when he interpreted Pharaoh’s dream. The principle mission of the Holy Spirit is to reveal deep things to you in order to establish you on a high throne. Jesus manifested the unique operation of the spirit of wisdom in all His outstanding exploits. “And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, in so much that they were astonished, and said whence hath this man this wisdom, and

these mighty works?” (Matt. 13:54)

The kind of wisdom we are talking about makes you a celebrity, even in the land of captivity. For example, Daniel, a man who had “the spirit of the gods in him” manifested the unparalleled wisdom of God (Dan. 2:23, 5:11-13). Anointing can be seen as the manifestation of the spirit of wisdom. This, the Anointing giants you access into depths in God and makes you produce results on the earth. Every exploit or breakthrough in the kingdom is traceable to wisdom (Ps. 104:24, Prov. 4:7) When you begin to obtain supernatural results on earth i.e. heaven like results, you experience living heaven on earth.

LESSON FIVE

ACCESS TO THE ANOINTING 1

You are only thing that stands between you and the anointing Through ignorance of the access-way and its utilization. The anointing is for anybody who cares for it as long as the conditioned are met. What does it take to experience the anointing?



1. PURITY (Consecration)

Consecration is the giant step into the school of power. Prov. 1:23 - “Turn you at my reproof; behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you”

“If you must live tall, you must live righteous” - Papa

It is not your turn until you turn. God will not pour out his anointing until you turn. Standing on the right platform qualifies you for the anointing. Acts 2:38 - “… Repent, and be baptised everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” Every denial of Christ need to be repented of. CONVICTION OF SIN IS THE STEPPING STONE TO EVER FLOW UNCTION - Bishop D. O. Oyedepo You can’t live a loose life and expect that you’ll qualify to stand out for the loosening of the bound or oppressed. Acts 3:19 - “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall came from the presence of God” The anointing that brings refreshing will come after you

have repented. Times of refreshing only comes after you have repeated. Sin blocks your access to the release of the anointing

(Jer. 3:22-23).



2. THIRST AND DESPERATION What you don’t desire you don’t deserve. A genuine crave

for the anointing will always give birth to it. A thirst is a longing from the heart. John 7:37 “… if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink”. Your desire must be backed up with a desperation. The anointing is available and obtainable but your access to it is your thirst and desperation (Ps. 63:1,2). God will pour His power on him that thirsty and earnestly desire a rejuvenation (Is. 44:3-5).

LESSON SIX


3. SUPPLICATION Supplication is an expression of desperation. Your thirst

provokes you into asking. Your encounter of anointing is via supplication (acting).

“Asking ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain;

so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field” (Zec. 10:1)

God is the Anointer and He is ready to pour out the

anointing to you but your access-way is in asking Him (Luke 11:9-13; Matt. 7:7).

Until you know the ‘how to’ you can’t gain freedom from frustration - You cannot contact the anointing. Let us consider some other access ways to the anointing.



4. FASTING

IF FASTING DOES NOT CULMINATE IN POWER, IT IS A WASTE OF

TIME: A DEMONSTRATION/REACTION TO ECONOMIC

RECESSION - Bishop Oyedepo.

The mission of fasting is to enhance the release of power.

It is not to beg God to act. We get empowered by a fast. Fasting is a spiritual device for empowerment - We get empowered to act; to break yokes. Is. 58:6-8 gives us an insight into the covenant of fasting. Fasting is not for self affliction, it is a programme for empowerment. Fasting brings about supernatural empowerment for a focus to be able to deal with the devil - You don’t fast to struggle with the devil but to deal with the devil. Jesus returned in the power of the spirit and exploded in his generation (Luke 4:14). Every proclaimed fast should be an opportunity to grow in power. Fasting is an opportunity to beef-up your oil level. When your fuel-guage is moving down, you quickly go for an increase in the presence of God. Remember oil in the lamp is to be personally acquired. (Matt.25:9)

LESSON SEVEN


5. THANKSGIVING AND PRAISES When thanksgiving and praise become your lifestyle you

will not lack access to the anointing. You can provoke the release of power (anointing) by praises.

Psalm 92:1-15



David was heavily anointed. He was an addicted praiser: He praises God seven times and prays three times daily (Ps. 53:17; 119:164). He contacted sent God via the mystery of praise.

Jesus engaged the force of thanksgiving to provoke the manifestation of the anointing on two spectacular occasions:

John 6:11 - Feeding 5,000 people John 11:41 - Raising Lazarus from the dead

Paul and Silas engaged the force of praise to gain access into the anointing for freedom (Acts 16). Eph. 5:20

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus”

To be full of the anointing you must be full of thanksgiving. Ps. 149:6 - Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.

6. THE WORD OF GOD

The word of God is the provoker of power. Every fresh insight into the word of God grants you access into fresh anointing (Jer. 15:16) via the Spirit of Joy.

Word encounter leads to power encounter (Ezek. 2:2; John 6:63).

LESSON EIGHT

NEED FOR THE ANOINTING

When you recognise and appreciate the need for the anointing, then your crave for it will surely increase. The fame of Jesus only went abroad after the anointing (Lk. 4:14). Without the anointing Christianity becomes a bunch of frustration Anointing gives colour to Christianity. The presence of the anointing distinguishes anyone anywhere.



It is the connecting rod between you and the treasures in heaven and it makes you extra-precious on the earth. It establishes a status for you that no effort in life can achieve. 1. FOR EXPLOSION When the Holy Ghost came upon the Disciples, they

exploded above their generation. The anointing triggered off an explosion of the Church. This is breakthrough explosion which the end-time Church is heading for Peter and his colleagues contacted the unction (empowerment) in Acts 2:1-13, from vs14-36, Peter exploded - He became a dynamite: He became courageous and immovable (Acts 4:19,20; 5:28,29,40,42). He spoke to his audience and their hearts were pricked (Acts 2:37). The Church also exploded numerically (Acts 1:15, Acts 2:41, Acts2:47, Acts 4:4).

Also miracle, signs and wonders exploded amongst the

Apostles (Acts 5:12-16).

2. REVELATION/INSIGHT

The anointing grants insight/revelation Teaches all things. I John 2:27

“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth

in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him”.

To things of God are deep and only “the deep calleth to

the deep” (Ps. 42:7). It takes the anointing of the Holy Spirit for the understanding of the deep things of God to come to bear (I Cor. 2:9,10).

3. ANNOUNCES/ADVERTISE (Brings Recognition) You cannot be anointed and be concealed/hidden. The

fame (news) about Jesus Christ, the Messiah, did not begin



to spread until after he returned in the power of the spirit (Luke 4:14). It takes Holy Ghost empowerment to be announced. The Disciples were also recognised through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (Acts 4:13).

LESSON NINE

THE PLACE OF THE ANOINTING IN MINISTRY

Ministry is a divine assignment that requires divine enablement to perform. Anointing is the divine enablement for performance. No one can occupy his position in Ministry without the anointing. The apostles could not occupy their places of calling until they were endued with power from above. They were all in hiding and Peter even thought it was better to go fishing because the power to stand in their office was not there. Ministry is not by the strength of man; it is by the Spirit of God who anoints and endues with power. The anointing is a fundamental requirement for a take off and eventual execution of any commission. Jesus preaching had nothing to show for it until he was

anointed His custom was only to go to the synagogue (Luke 4:16). At His birth the angels announced Him for empowerment (Luke 1:35). He came to the world born of the Holy Ghost, but for 30 years, he lived in the carpenter’s shed as the carpenter’s son. Thereafter, there was a change of status for Him. He became a celebrity when the Holy Ghost descended upon Him and announced His sonship in God (Matt. 3:17).

He went into the wilderness for empowerment (anointing) Luke 4:1,14.

He came back and formerly declared His contact with power: (Luke 4:18-21) and His fame went abroad (Luke 4:14, 37).

Peter was preaching after the anointing and heaven’s power



broke loose among the people; They were “pricked in their hearts”.

The Anointing is the penetrative force of the pulpit.

It gives breakthroughs in Ministry.

It is the power that makes the word come alive.

It is the power that makes faith and knowledge fruitful in Ministry - All knowledge, all faith is fake and futile without the anointing.

The Anointing has the Ministry of teaching you all truth - It guides you into what steps to take from time to time (I Jn. 2:27).

The Anointing protects the anointed - makes him untouchable as he pursues the commission (Ps. 105:15)

LESSON TEN

BUILDING UP THE ANOINTING

Electricity power enables makes many things work - fan, bulb, A/C. etc. So also, the power of the Holy Spirit makes many things to work in our lives. But the power of the Highest order is somehow different from Electric power (Lk. 1:35). You do not switch Him off and on, you build Him up just like the tripod fire, by staying on your knees to blow and blow until you fan it into fire.

JESUS BUILT UP POWER Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit - Lk. 4:1-2. But He still went into the wilderness for 40 days to build up the power of the Spirit (Lk. 4:2-13). He prayed and fasted for 40 days, praying on His knees and building up the fire until vs. 14, when He came out of the wilderness with power.

THE DISCIPLES BUILT UP POWER

In Jn. 20:21-22, the disciples of Jesus Christ received Holy Ghost Baptism. In Acts 2:1-2 they waited 10 days in the upper room building up power until suddenly power came.



HOW TO BUILD UP POWER Get on your knees and praise Him in known tongues (tongues of men). Praise Him yet in unknown tongues (tongues of angels I Cor. 13:1). Call Him by His names. Call Him by His titles and achievements. Pray in the Holy Ghost (Jude 20). The arrival of the Holy Ghost power is always announced and makes the individual a new man e.g. Peter was changed after his encounter in Acts 2:1-2 to Peter the Rock. In Act Chapter 3, the Peter that was afraid of a maid could now heal the lame and face the council boldly.

DEPARTURE OF POWER

God’s Spirit has no ability to strive or struggle with men (Gen. 6:3). So His power can be quenched in a man’s life (I Thes. 5:19). Jesus warns us not to speak against the Holy Spirit (Matt. 12:32). Eph. 4:30-31 - Paul also warns us not to grieve the Holy Spirit with bitterness, wrath, anger, evil speaking, malice etc. The children of Israel rebelled and grieved the Holy Spirit so God fought against them (Isa. 63:10). To lie to the Holy Spirit will not only cause a departure of power but can also result in death (Acts 5:3-10).



LESSON ELEVEN

EFFECTS OF THE ANOINTING

a) It destroys every yoke or Satan in all aspects of life (Matt. 10:1,7,8; Is. 10:27; Mk.

16:17-18; James. 5:14).

b) Restoration (I Sam. 10:2). Saul’s sweat ended (Gen. 3:19) and all the things he

had lost were recovered (Zec. 9:12)

c) Progress (I Sam. 10:3a). Turn you northward and go forward

(Deut. 2:3).

d) Honour (I Sam. 10:4a). Honour is an automatic evidence of the anointed. Jesus,

after the anointing changed from the son of a carpenter to the son of the Living

God.

e) Favour (I Sam. 10:46). Anointed is always favoured (Ps. 102:13).

f) Transformation (Ezek. 36:26). Change of status. Saul became another man

completely (I Sam. 10:6).

g) Produces signs (I Sam. 10:7a). The Anointing is for signs & wonders (Is. 8:18; Mk.

16:17).

h) Enthronement (I Sam. 10:7b). The Anointing is for the redeemed to ascend their

thrones (Rev. 5:10).

i) Rest and Peace (Is. 63:14)

j) Increases (Is. 32:15)



LESSON TWELVE

LEVELS OF ANOINTING

Anointing is a higher dimension of the Holy Ghost Baptism. Jesus is the baptizer with the Holy Ghost; God, the father is the Anointer through Jesus Christ (Ps. 45:7, Heb. 1:9, Is. 61:1, Lk. 4:18, Acts 10:38). The anointing is likened to rain (Zec. 10:1, Joel 2:23). Rain is the life-wire of a river. The rain of God’s power from above is to increase the water level in our lives. The anointing therefore stands for the increase in the volume of water in a man’s river (Jn. 7:37-39). Just like rivers are in levels so also is the anointing in levels. Even as the volume of water in a river determines the functions to which it can be put, so also, the level of anointing in a man determines the number of people he can carry along. Anointing is in measures - We are not all equally anointed. The level (measure) of anointing a man of God carries, determines his level of productivity.

How many things that are submitting to your authority is a function of the power that is operative in you. Only Jesus Christ carries the anointing without measure (Jn. 3:34, Heb. 1:9). The measure of anointing a man carries is determined by the man himself.

WHAT ARE THE LEVELS OF THE ANOINTING? Ezekiel 47:1-5, John 7:38 The river mentioned in the above scripture here indicates the river of power and the

associated blessings. “The waters came down from the right side” (vs. 1,2) This indicates that the water flowed through Jesus who is seated at the right hand of God

(Ps. 110:1, Acts 2:34, Heb. 1:13) God pours out the anointing through Jesus Christ. LET’S CONSIDER THE VARIOUS LEVELS: a. THE STARTING POINT (BEGINNER’S LEVEL) At New Birth, you experience the zero level in the school



of power; you have just been ‘born to become’, (Jn1:12) you have not yet become - You work towards becoming empowered by the anointing. This level marks the beginning of your journey in the school of power.

b. THE ANKLE LEVEL (Ezekiel 47:3) This is Baptism level - This is the point when you begin to experience the anointing. At this point, you are initiated into the school of power i.e. your first encounter with power. The Disciples had this encounter with power

(Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8). The Disciples also had this encounter in Acts 2 and their journey in the school of power began immediately. Thereafter, the speaking and touching anointing manifested. (Acts 3:7).

This level of anointing is subject to environmental conditions i.e. spiritual climatic factors. Power manifestation at this level fluctuates with the situation around the Believer - He can preach to convert people at this point and may just be able to heal a few sick folks. For him to grow to a higher level of power, he must act consciously and decisively in prayer.

LESSON THIRTEEN

LEVELS OF ANOINTING CONT’D

c) KNEE LEVEL (GREATER POWER LEVEL) - Ezekiel 47:4

In Acts 2:4, the Disciples were filled with power, but in Acts 4:24-31, they prayed and were filled with the Holy Ghost and they preached the word with boldness. Greater miracles were wrought through their hands thereafter. You get to this level through prayer (Acts 4:31-33). Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee after spending forty days before the Lord in prayer and fasting (Luke 4:14). After His encounter at the mountain of transfiguration, Jesus manifested the greater (mighty) power anointing (Luke 9:37-43). He contacted something on the mountain while He prayed (Luke 9:29) and manifested what He contacted in vs. 42. The anointing at this level is contacted on the knees, praying.



d) THE LOINS LEVEL (Exceeding Great Power) Anointing -

Ezek. 47:4

At this level of anointing, the power is self-quickening. It is the Resurrection power anointing (Eph. 1:18-20). Things happen at this stage on their own. At this level you are not on your knees but on your feet, standing by virtue of revelations, enlightenment etc. contacted. Entrance into this level of anointing is by enlightenment of the eyes of our understanding. It is a realm of supernatural discoveries, enlightenment, connections etc. Gird up your loins with truth (Eph. 6:14). This implies that access to this level is through the word of God.

This is the touch me not realm ‘Don’t touch me’ (Jn. 20:17). God, at this level deals with anyone who touches you even without your knowing about it. Note: There is a level you get to in life that evil is scared of you.

e) THE FLOOD LEVEL (FULNESS OF POWER) ANOINTING - Ezek. 47:5

This is the realm of swimming in power: The un-crossable, un-passable - river level. The level of the “ powers to come ” - Heb. 6:5 Jesus operated in this level of anointing in his earthly ministry: It is a realm of ceaseless flow in signs and wonders (Acts 10:38). This is the realm of security; The realm of choice i.e. doing as occasion permits you. This is the honey level anointing i.e. the level of the good word of God. Jesus was in touch with the honey of life so He could operate in the realms of life to come (Is. 7:14, 15). The honey of the word makes you the determining factor in every issue of your life.



LESSON FOURTEEN

SUSTAINING THE ANOINTING

‘Wisdom is the preserver of destiny’ - Is. 33:6 Whatever God has put in you can be preserved by heaven-sent sense. God’s oil (anointing) is meant to last and out-last your life, but you must know how to maintain it. When the oil leaves, the beauty leaves. How do you preserve the oil in you? 1. BY CONSECRATION

If the oil in your life must last long, then you must maintain your consecration to God.

When sin no longer matters to you, you begin to stink and sink.

Ps. 45:7 - Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness therefore God thy God hath has anoint thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Jesus went to the grave with the anointing because He loved righteousness. Jesus was never convicted of sin (John 8:46). What vessel you become is not God determined, it is determined by you and you alone (II Tim. 2:21). You can’t maintain the oil in your life without consecration. SIN IS A SINKER, SIN IS A STINKER! SINK IT BEFORE IT SINKS YOU!



i) SAMSON

Judges 13:24, 25 - The spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp. Even as a young man the anointing was heavy upon him. Judges 14:1 - He began to enjoy disobedience; He saw a woman from the Philistines camp and determined to marry her despite the instructions of the parents. Judges 16:1 - He loved Delilah and married her. Delilah brought about his downfall eventually.

ii) GEHAZI (II Kings 5) To Gehazi, ministry is to grab things from people. The love of money, greed, and coveteousness terminated his life.

He moved from the school of the sons of the prophets to the school of the lepers. If God calls you to Ministry and you think it is for sale, you will soon be sold out (Acts 8:18-21).

iii) SAMUEL

Samuel maintained his anointing to the grave None of his words fell to the ground. (ISam. 12:1-5, 3:19)

2. FELLOWSHIP

This is a covenant mandate for sustaining the anointing (Heb. 10:25, Ps. 84:7, I Jn. 1:1-4). Zion is the home of saints. No matter how anointed a man is staying, out of fellowship kills the anointing (Acts 2:42). Fellowship guarantees beauty - Acts 2:46-47. Fellowship is the responsibility of the wise (Is. 33:5-6)

SUSTAINING THE ANOINTING II

3) DEDICATION

Dedication means deadly commitment. It is a mystery for the sustenance of unction (anointing).

Paul excelled in sustaining the anointing by reason of dedication (I Cor. 9:16; 15:30, 31; Phil. 1:1).

As long as you maintain your dedication to Christ and the kingdom, the oil never ceases to flow.

You become a natural commander of the release of unction.

When you stand strong in the assignment God has given you, then the oil keeps flowing.

Dedication will always command and maintain the flow of the anointing. Jesus maintained His commitment to the very end and He enjoyed a flow of the anointing even to the grave

(John 4:32,10:17,18)

When you become committed to the interest of the kingdom you represent here, then God becomes committed to your interest too and He sees to a ceaseless flow of the oil in your life.

To keep God’s hand on your life, keep your hands on the plough God has no business putting His oil on an individual who has no interest in His kingdom.

Dedication should manifest fruitfulness and faithfulness. When you are fruitful in the kingdom of God, He ensures your sustenance and maintenance of unction.



If you are not a fruit bearing Christian, God has no business anointing you, because you will end up encumbering the ground (John 15:1,2; Luke 13:6-9).

Faithfulness is a requirement for dedication which guarantees continuous flow of anointing. When you are unfaithful, you don’t have a future (Luke 16:1-2, I Cor. 4:1-2). Stop playing pranks with God so that you don’t end up having your stewardship terminated.

4) THE WORD

To stay anointed, you must stay in the word of God. To keep the fire burning the fuel must be in constant supply. If you don’t want your fire to go down, you must keep on supplying the fuel which is the word of God. (Lev.6:12-13). Under the Old Covenant, the wood is used to keep the fire on the altar burning. In the New Covenant, the word of God replaces the wood.

It is good to get the anointing but it much more than requires the wood to sustain it.

Prov. 23:23 - Buy the truth and sell it not

There is no substitute for the word. John 7:37; Isaiah 55:1

When your fuel level is low, it affects your ministry. So always go for a refill. It takes meekness and a meditative heart to gain access into the word of God, which is the fuel for sustaining the anointing.
