Assimilation is not joining the church, butBELONGING. Belongingis where the new

members feel accepted and athome in thenew environment-the church. Thus the sense of belongingis a good signof

the person being assimilated well into the life

of the new family. Feeling accepted, no longerfeeling as strangers, are sure indicators andsigns of being well assimilated into the life ofthe church.
