Head Start's 12th National Research Conference on Early Childhood (HSRC12) + Free Data Training Workshop Register for HSRC12 - July 7-9, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, DC - and you are eligible to participate in a free workshop on the third grade follow-up to the Head Start Impact Study. The workshop, set for July 7, from 6:30-9:00pm, will provide an overview of the study's design, methodology, key findings, and introduce potential users to technical issues associated with using study data for secondary analysis. After you register for HSRC12, email your name to [email protected] to participate in the workshop.

Call for Papers Studies on Effectiveness of Employment Strategies for Low-Income Adults Do you have a completed research paper or article examining the effectiveness of programs or strategies for improving employment outcomes for low-income adults? If so, submit it to the Employment Strategies for Low-Income Adults Evidence Review Call For Papers conducted by Mathematica Policy Research. The submission deadline is June 17, 2014, so send over those unpublished manuscripts, conference papers, articles not yet included in existing research syntheses or databases, and papers available on university or program web sites for consideration.

OPRE Funding Opportunity: Family Strengthening Scholars In an effort to build research capacity in the field of healthy marriage and responsible fatherhood policy issues, we will award up to three grants for our Family Strengthening Scholars. Research conducted under these grants should address issues of significance to inform policy decisions and solutions, particularly for underserved/understudied populations (e.g., low-income families, minority populations).
