Park Güell is a large garden with architectural features located in the upper part of the city. It was designed by Antoni Gaudí, the greatest exponent of Catalan Modernism. You will not find a park like this anywhere else in the world! This architectural wonder set in natural surroundings was commissioned by the Count of Güell, who wanted Gaudí to design an elegant residential development. Today it is a public park and part of the city’s heritage, another of the marvels that await you on your visit to Barcelona. Don’t miss Park Güell: You’ll be amazed! When you reach the park, enter by the large staircase dominated by a dragon decorated with mosaics made out of ceramic tiles – a technique known as trencadís (pique assiette) in Catalan. This is one of the most iconic images of Barcelona. The original spelling of the name is Park Güell (with ‘Park’ in English). It is laid out around a large central square surrounded by a serpentine bench covered with trencadís. Gaudí’s work represents a merging of nature and architecture. The roof supporting the square is held up by 86 tree-like Doric columns connected to each other. There are also viaducts atop slanted columns. Park Güell contains a small house where Gaudí lived for part of his life. The house has been turned into a museum and features interesting pieces of furniture also designed by Gaudí.

Lugar de entrada, paso y asentamiento de diferentes culturas y civilizaciones, la costa de Girona fue bautizada hace 100 años como la Costa Brava por su relieve abrupto y escarpa-do, las pequeñas calas rodeadas de pinos y las aguas cristalinas que bañan sus pueblos.

En la visita de 8 Horas (Sábados), se incluye a bordo del Dofijets una travesía marítima que nos llevará desde Lloret de mar hasta la vecina población de tossa de mar, disfrutando del característico paisaje escarpado de la Costa Brava. Desembarcaremos en tossa de mar, conocida como “La perla de la Costa Brava”, para descubrir una de las poblaciones que mejor a sabido mantener su entorno natural en ar-monía con el desarrollo turístico.

En la visita de 11 Horas (Lunes y Jueves), nos embarcaremos a bordo del Nautilus para navegar bordeando las Illes medes y así disfrutar del magnífico fondo marino gracias a las cabinas sumergidas. Visitaremos también los restos greco-romanos de Empúries, las únicas de todo el estado español donde se hallan vestigios de las dos civilizaciones.

In the visit from 8 h. (Saturday), a sea crossing is included on the Dofijets that will take us from Lloret de Mar to the neighbouring town of Tossa de Mar, enjoying the characteristic steep landscape of the Costa Brava. We will disembark in Tossa de Mar, known as “The Pearl of the Costa Brava”, to discover one of the towns that has best known who to keep its natural setting in harmony with tourist development.

In the 11 h. visit (Monday and Thursday) , we will board the Nautilus to sail around the Illes Medes and enjoy the magnificent seabed thanks to the submerged cabins. We will also visit the Greek-Roman ruins of Empúries, the only ones in the whole of Spain where remains of the two civilisations have been found.
