unigrad has taken a new

initiative this year! At unigrad we work hard to

ensure a very high level of awareness for our environment and our sustainable practice, so much so that our book will be printed entirely on PEFC certified paper. We feel that you too are interested in

ensuring our future is a lot more GREEN.

CORPORATE SOCIAl RESPONSIBIlITY

In addition to unigrad’s environmental ambitions, we feel that you too are interested in ensuring our future is a lot more GREEN. We believe you are interested in what other employers are doing to ensure their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is rated highly.

Therefore, we’ve asked employers to categorise themselves into Green, Amber or Red for their level of CSR. unigrad compiled a list of questions that are spread evenly across levels of CSR and asked employers to rate themselves according to the questions.

CORPORATE SOCIAl RESPONSIBIlITY (CSR) GUIDElINES:

Environmental Impact

Z Does your company/organisation purchase green power?

Z Do you have recycle bins for different recyclables?

Z Do you have a committee designated for creating sustainable business solutions?

Z Do you make use of recycled office furniture?

Z Do you know what your carbon footprint is?

Z Do you have a strategy for reducing your carbon footprint?

Community Involvement

Z Do you have a committee designated for creating donation or volunteer opportunities?

Z Are you members of any socially conscious societies? (ie. Cancer Society, etc.)

Z Do you have a rewards program for employees who take initiative in “giving back”?

Staff Development

Z Are staff supported/encouraged to lead healthy lifestyles? (work/life balance)

Z Do you have exercise facilities on site?

Z Do you provide memberships (partial/full) for off site facilities?

Z Do you have regular company functions to promote strong social interactions?

Z Are there programs to increase staff moral? (ie. casual Fridays, etc.)

Should they answer yes to 1-3 questions they are qualified as RED, should they answer yes to 4-7 of the questions, they are AMBER and should they answer yes to 8 or more, they qualify as GREEN.

Note this is entirely optional on behalf of the company and is only a guide. Should you have further queries about the company’s CSR program, please contact them directly for further information.

Free thinking.

What is free thinking? Well, it’s a bit like zero gravity for the mind. It’s a place where people can think ahead, look back, push forward and pull together. In fact, any think goes.

At ANZ, our best tools are our minds. Minds like yours – with energy, imagination and personality.

We set them free with tailored training and development, career opportunities and deserved recognition.

Our future will be decided only by what free thinking will do for us today and tomorrow. And so will yours. Go to anz.com/graduates. Be free.

Be free.

ARUP

Imagine working on a project that becomes one of the world’s most iconic buildings. Think the Sydney Opera House, the Birds Nest or the Water Cube. The Water Cube was designed within the Arup Sydney office and enlisted more than 100 Arup team members from around the globe, including graduates. We have a track record of integrating students into the industry by putting them in the thick of 8it from the word `go’. Forget the usual `new kid’ treatment; you’ll be exposed to big and exciting projects from the moment you step through the door. Arup came to Australia in 1963 to work on the structural design of the Sydney Opera House and today has over 1300 staff in the region. We’re proud of the values we live by, summarising our approach in a simple statement – We shape a better world. We achieve this goal through teamwork, creativity, belief in sustainability and recognition of the role we and our collaborators play in forming new environments and delivering innovative solutions.

So who are we looking for? Enthusiastic students for a variety of engineering and specialist areas such as acoustics, building structures, civil structures, civil design, environmental/sustainability, facades, fire, highways, infrastructure, mechanical/electrical, transport, urban/town planning and water. Sure, we’re looking for strong technical potential, but it’s your communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills that will set you apart from the crowd. Successful applicants will become part of our Vacation Program, involving on-the-job training that allows you to apply your studies in a practical way.

To begin drawing up your career blueprint, visit our website today to check out our exciting projects and vacation opportunities.

Summer vacation It’s more than just numbers… it’s a firm where you feel comfortable right from the start

The summer vacation program at Pitcher Partners is one of our most popular student programs. Each year students in their penultimate year apply to join the firm to gain work-experience during the Uni summer holidays. This program provides students with a variety of experiences, including the opportunity to visit a client and undertake practical work with more senior staff members. Vacationers also learn how to use key software packages, are exposed to working in a corporate team and gain experience with time management.

Our Vacation Program has a career development focus. Vacationers undertake a number of technical and soft-skills training sessions, complete a challenging group project, attend a series of career information sessions and are actively involved in a number of networking events.

The top performing students during the Vacation program are often offered a position with the firm as a Graduate upon completion of their degree.

Internship It’s more than just numbers… it’s developing yourself

Our Internship (IBL, Co-operative, Undergraduate) program is designed for students who have a keen desire to gain practical experience before completing the final year of their University degree. The Internship program begins in March/April each year and concludes in December. Our Interns are given the same opportunities and training and development experiences as our Graduates. At the end of the Internship program the top performing students may be offered a position with Pitcher Partners upon completion of their degree.

Who we are Woodside has a long and proud history. Over the past 56 years, we’ve grown to become one of the world’s largest producers of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and Australia’s leading independent producer of oil and gas.

Woodside operates Australia’s largest resource project, the $27 billion North West Shelf project, which in 2009 celebrated 25 years of natural gas production and 20 years of LNG production.

Our production of LNG continues to grow, with the first phase of our Pluto project, adjacent to the North West Shelf, due to be completed at the end of 2010 with first cargoes to be shipped early in 2011.

We are also seeking to develop another two LNG projects - Browse in Australia’s Kimberley region and Sunrise off the northern coast.

As we build on our position as a leading provider of cleaner energy and tackle an increasingly diverse and challenging range of projects, it’s our people who make everything possible. As such, we’re committed to helping every individual reach their potential, both professionally and personally. After all, only by helping you achieve your potential will we be able to fulfill ours.

Program summary Our Summer Internship Program allows individuals with a genuine passion for the industry, an insight into working within a fast growing, multi-disciplined organisation, where you’ll enjoy the support you need, and the rewards you deserve. You will be given the opportunity to undertake challenging projects in a dynamic environment that will provide:

• valuable work experience that will allow you to make Woodside contacts.

• meaning and relevance to your theoretical learning, and

• opportunity for assessment for a position in our Graduate Program.

Seeking Motivated, talented and energetic students completing their studies in 2011 who want to undertake solid, meaningful work in Perth over the summer break.
