les Clefs d’Or Romania were represented at the International Congress in Berlin by Mr Cătălin Mălureanu, President and Mr Tudor Mureșeanu, Treasurer.

we are proud to announce that the Association’s Founding President, Mr Cătălin Mălureanu has been appointed as the new Zone Director for Central Europe.

since his appointment, Mr Mălureanu has participated at Clefs d’Or’s Executive Committee’s meeting, held in Mumbai, October 2017 and has met our concierge colleagues and dear friends from Moscow and Saint Petersburg at the Association’s Annual Meeting, held in Russia.

In November 2017, we were invited by our welcoming hosts to discover the special resonance that Nomad has to offer. We found delicious food and we were able to taste from a variety of ingenious dishes, inspired from a unique and inter-national menu that does not follow any known patterns. We have decided that Nomad is an adequate revenue for a late dinner followed by a night of dance and fun in the city that never sleeps.

Jilava Prison : Fort 13

in November 2017 Les Clefs d’Or Romania have succeeded in opening the gate to one of the best well-guarded and darkest secrets of our country’s recent history – the Jilava Prison.

initially constructed as a military defence fort, part of a defence chain designed to protect Bucharest against an Ottoman invasion, Fort 13 Jilava became the place where, starting with 1904, the country’s political leaders persecuted and tortured their political and ideologicalopponents.

this part of our history shall be encompassed in a special tour that we offer to our guests, whose purpose is delivering a better under-standing of the recently faded communist era.
