Holiday Program News

K-2 Winter Concert - Dec. 7, 1:30 & 6:30 PM

The students are excited to share their holiday

songs with you! All students should wear their

Sunday best for both concerts. For the evening

concert, students are asked to be in their warm-

up rooms at 6:15 PM. Prior to 6:15 PM, students

must be with their parents.

Kindergarten will meet in the cafeteria.

First grade will meet in the library.

Second grade will meet in the music room.

5-8 Winter Choir Concert

The 5th-8th grade choir concert will be on Tues-

day, December 12 at 6:30 PM in the small gym.

Performers should report to the cafeteria at 6:10

PM dressed in their concert attire which includes

their Union Grove choir shirt, black pants and

black shoes. Any items such as coats, mittens,

and phones should be left with the students’ par-

ents during the concert.

All of the students have worked very hard to put

this program together and everyone brings a spe-

cial talent to the music room.

UGES Winter Band Concert Our band students have been tuning up and

practicing to bring you a wonderful evening of

music on December 14, at 6:30 PM. The 5th

through 8th grade bands will be performing and

swing along with the jazz band as well. Jump

start your holidays and join us for some jammin’

tunes!

School Report Card The 2016 - 2017 Wisconsin School Report Card has been released. Thanks to the hard work and dedi-cation from our great team of edu-cators, parents and students UGES has achieved a score of 78.2, once again placing us into the "Exceeds Expectations" category! Even more impressive than that, over the previous six report cards, we have seen our scores improve each and every year.

Outstanding Students of the Month One student is selected per month from grades 2-8 by their teachers for various positive rea-sons based on our C.H.O.I.C.E. initiative (Care, Help, Own, Include, Cooperate, Excel). Each student receives a packet of goodies for his or her efforts. Congratulations to all the students!

Band News!

Congratulations to Logan Bulgrin, Ethan Radke, Rachel Kalbas, Emma Miller, and Anna Salituro for participating in the UW-Milwaukee Honors Band Festival on November 19th! They were selected to play with students from all over the state and in just eight hours of rehearsals put on a wonderful concert. Great job!
