First of all to formulate a practicable, workable, attractive,

“Constitution” of the Union, with full elaborations of its

objectives, functions, duties, mechanism for awarding

membership, financial managements, elections laws,

composition of executive body, power, functions, duties and

criteria for calling meetings of executive council, general body,

emergency meetings and each and every aspects which can

held for achieving the objectives for the formations of Union.

Best practices for Union Management is that we must create an environment in which workers should realize that for the “protection of their rights, including safety, economic, employment, better wages, they must become member of the union with full zeal and enthusiasm.

For running the Union, it is prerequisite of establish full-flagged secretariat for running the affairs and management of the union, holding meetings, seminars, workshops, etc.

Exploring the relationship with other unions and use them as and when you require pressure to the government or management of media outlets for the acceptance of your demands.

Union Management can be achieved subject to the cautions that the leadership of the unions have skill, knowledge and capabilities to run the affairs of the union in consonance with the  ground realities, command on the rules and regulations of the respective media centre, laws of the land as well as how to exploit and take advantage of the laws and rules for the benefits of the media workers.

Elect the genuine leadership who can deliver for the promotion, protection and wellbeing of the members of the union.
