Connecting to the UniPrint Application Server, a user prints from any application to one virtual print queue (VPQ).

UniPrint Universal Printer Driver (UPD) converts and encrypts the print data into a PDF print job and stores it in a holding server.

The user authenticates on the vPad and selects the document for printing.

The document is “pulled” or released for printing to the selected printer in close proximity.

Simplify Print ManagementDo more with less! Using UniPrint Infinity™, IT administrators only need to install and manage one UniPrint™ Universal Printer Driver (UPD) on the application server(s), and manage one Virtual Print Queue (VPQ). Administrators are also able to manage and assign printers to any remote location from the UniPrint Management Console. This eliminates the lengthy installation and certification processes, and print driver incompatibility issues that used to plague IT departments when adding or upgrading applications, client or printing devices to the network. With printer incompatibilities out of the way, printing is fast and stable, and help desk calls are greatly reduced. UniPrint UPD is especially beneficial for multi-platform virtualized environments, where large numbers of users keep logging on and off all the time. UniPrint Infinity also allows IT administrators to create custom printer profiles (such as stapling, hole-punching, duplexing and monochrome) per printer or per printer driver.

Improve Security and ComplianceHighly regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance, legal and government cannot afford to leave print security to chances. UniPrint Infinity offers dual print security through PDF encryption, and user-authenticated pull printing via the vPad device. When a user authenticates on the vPad, it “pulls” or releases the selected print job to a printer in close proximity to the vPad. The vPad is fully compatible with any smart card reader. Any existing RFID/HID smart card currently employed by an organization can be easily registered at the vPad without any customization.

The User Print Statistics and Print Archiving features provide valuable enterprise-wide insight into the printing activities of a company. Organizations can track and securely store print-related usage information, including the user ID, domain, printer ID, file name, date and number of print jobs in black and white or color, in the statistics database.

Enhance Printing FunctionalityPrinting is fast and easy, the way it should be. Users across the network will see one printer only – UniPrint.
