    Overview

    System Components

    Echo Systems

Echo control systems utilize the EchoConnect Bus for communication allowing Echo enabled products to interact. Products include but are not limited to: Echo Relay Panels, Sensor IQ breaker panels, CEM3 controllers, Echo Preset and Inspire stations, Echo Power Controllers, and Echo Responsive Controls.

The Echo Astronomical TimeClock (E-ATC) provides these systems with low-cost, easy-to-use, and easy-to-program, time-based control.

The size of a system that can be controlled with an E-ATC is determined by the station power supply. A 24VDC power supply is also required and can be supplied by others, or purchased from ETC as either a separate Aux Power Supply or as an Echo Station Power Supply with included Aux Power.

The available system size options are:

    • Support for 6 stations and 6 hosts using a separate 24VDC power supply.

    • Support for 6 stations and 6 hosts using an Echo Room Controller including E-ATC. See the Echo Room Controller Install Guide for more information.

    • Support for 16 stations and 16 hosts using an Echo Station Power Module - available from ETC in wall or rack mount versions with or without 24VDC aux power output.

  • 6 Echo TimeClock Configuration Manual

Note: CAT5 wiring is supported for the EchoConnect Bus with some limitations. Reference the ETC Cat5 Cable Preparation Setup Guide for more details. ETC documentation is available for download at www.etcconnect.com.

Holiday Shut-OffThe Holiday Shut-Off feature allows you to override event schedules per individual space for anywhere from one to seven days with the default being 1 day.

The Holiday Shut-Off feature is provided for CA Title 24 compliance to provide an easy way to temporarily disable the schedule and turn lighting off in designated spaces for 1-7 days.

When “Start Holiday Shut-Off” is selected, the program begins a five minute countdown. At any time during this countdown, you may cancel the Holiday Shut-Off by pressing the [Back] button.

After five minutes, Shut-Off executes an Off command in the specified spaces. The status display shows the time remaining before the Holiday Shut-Off feature expires. To reinstate the normal event schedule, press the [HOLD] button.

If manual control is initiated during Holiday Shut-Off, a Timed Hold will start to temporarily permit the manual lighting control. When the hold time expires, lights shut off in specified spaces replacing any manual control and Holiday Shut-Off is reinstated using the time remaining.

Configuration of Holiday SpacesAll spaces default to “Shut-Off” but can be individually configured to be excluded from the Holiday Shut-Off feature or “Unaffected.” Spaces that are configured to “Shut-Off” will suspend all configured events and have lighting forced off for the selected number of days, permitting only temporary manual control. Temporary manual control will only be allowed to remain for the configured Hold Time as long as Holiday Shut-Off is active in the same space. Off is then reinstated until Holiday Shut-Off is complete or manually cleared.

Spaces set to “Unaffected” will continue to allow normally scheduled events and remain unaffected by Holiday Shut-Off in other spaces.

To change the configuration for a space:

Step 1: From the Main Menu, select “Holiday Shut-Off.”

Step 2: Press [Enter] to access this menu.

Step 3: Press [Down] to scroll to “Config Holiday Spaces.”
