1.1 & 1.5 Aim Of Project

I have been chosen as a photographer and graphic designer to capture images of Salford City College for a magazine called city life and I will edit the images to fit into the magazine.

I will take photos of Salford City College such as the canteen and the sports hall.

The different sites of Salford City College are Eccles, Pendleton, City and Walkden Centres and a Future Skills Centre near Media City UK.

The tool I used was the spot healing brush. In the picture I remove the lamp from in front of the animal barn. I changed the size of the brush to 60 to make it remove a bigger space of the lamp.

In this picture I used the shape tool and I made 3 grass shapes on the picture. I then want on the colour bar to change the colour of the grass from white to green.

In this picture I used the brush tool so scribble on the sign. To use this tool I click on the brush button and you can change the size of the brush and the shape of the brush.

In this picture I used the pinch tool and it made the picture look wobbly and out of shape.

In this picture I used the hue and saturation to change the colours of the grass, sky and the building.

In the picture I used the different clouds tool to change the colour of the picture but make a cloud effect in the background.

In this picture I used the crystallised tool to make the picture turn into crystals. To use this tool I clicked on filter than I clicked on crystallised button to change the size of the crystals

In the image I used the angled strokes tool to make firm lines to the picture. To use the tool I clicked on filter than I clicked on the angled strokes button.

In this picture I used the spotlighting effect. I used it by click on filter then lighting options and than I used the spotlight to make parts of the picture darker and lighter.

I this picture I used the shear tool to make the picture look wobbly and curved. To use the tool I clicked on filter and I clicked on the shear button.

In this image I used the dust and scratches tool to make the picture like a dust storm.

I used the ocean ripple tool to make this picture feel fuzzy and difficult to look at. To use the tool I clicked on filter and then on the ocean ripple button to change the ripple effect.

In the image I used the fragment tool to make the picture look a bit fuzzy.

In the right picture I used the glowing edges tool to make the picture like a glow in the dark picture. To use this tool I clicked on filter and then I clicked on the styles button and I chosen glowing edges.

In this change I used the lens flare tool to make the sun appear from the bush. To use this tool I clicked on filter and then I clicked on the render button and then I clicked on lens flare.

Short for Joint Photographic Experts Group. JPEG is a lossy compression technique for colour images. Although it can reduce files sizes to about 5% of their normal size, some detail is lost in the compression.

Portable Network Graphics is a raster graphics file format that supports lossless data compression. PNG was created as an improved, non-patented replacement for Graphics Interchange Format (GIF), and is the most used lossless image compression format on the Internet.

Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format used to present documents in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.

A .PSD file is a layered image file used in Adobe Photoshop. PSD, which stands for Photoshop Document, is the default format that Photoshop uses for saving data.  PSD is a proprietary file that allows the user to work with the images’ individual layers even after the file has been saved.

Which file format will you use and why?I would use a jpeg because it is easy to save and it

doesn't spoil your work.
