Framework for Conducting Training Needs Assessment
• Organizational analysis involves determining the appropriate ness of training, given the company's business strategy, its resources available for training, and support by managers and peers for training activities.– Support of Managers and Peers– Company Strategy– Training Resources

Cont’d…• Person analysis helps the manager identify
whether training is appropriate and which employees need training. When a problem, such as a performance deficiency, is identified, it is often unclear whether training is the solution. – Person characteristics– Input– Output– Consequences– Feedback

Cont’d…• Task analysis identifies the conditions in
which tasks are performed. A job is a specific position requiring the completion of specific tasks. A task is a statement of an employee’s work activity in a specific job. A task analysis involves four steps:– Selecting the job to be analyzed.– Developing a preliminary list of tasks.– Verifying the importance of the tasks.– Identifying the KSA’s.

the duties and tasks required by them.• From these task, list the KSA’s that students need. Are
the members in your neighbor group deficient in any of these KSA’s?
• Now identify and list the workshops offered to students to help them be successful.
• Are these relevant to the KSA’s you identified?• What additional programs would you recommend be
offered?• Prepare a detailed report regarding your need analysis
for the students.04/08/23 Sona School of Management 12
