Unit 3- Evaluation In this unit I had to produce two TV adverts of duration of 30 seconds each. Both of the adverts had to be part of a linked campaign by having the same message, logo and the slogan. My adverts appealed to both males and females as my first advert for using less water targeted 15 to 19 year olds. Whereas save electricity appealed to 12 to 14 year olds. I had to meet the brief by convincing my target audience to reduce global warming; they have to be clear and to have a line of appeal. For the first advert using less water the line of appeal was shock because at the beginning of the campaign the mum walks into the lounge shows the girl the water bill and zooms into a close up of the girls face looking shocked and confused. For my second advert the line of appeal was also shock as near the end of the campaign the lights start flickering this shows that electricity is running out. Production Process y For pre- production I did beachcombing on global warming to collect information which would help me on my adverts, such as facts, figures, images ETC. y I produced questionnaires which I then handed out to my target audience to see how much energy they are wasting and what they knew about global warming an example for one of the questions is how often do you use the computer, to see if they are taking it seriously and if they are willing to help stop global warming. y I also searched videos on U tube onother global warming adverts which would help me when I produced my campaigns. I did two anamatics for both of my campaigns to roughly see the order what they might look like. Production y For production I filmed all of my shots that will be needed for both of my campaigns such as girl washing the dishes for wasting water advert and boy switching on the kettle for using less electricity. y I had no problems whilst filming as I only filmed it all once as the shots and camera angles were good and flowed well together this saved me time.
