Most of the water is in the oceans and seas.
All the land on Earth is divided up into the continents.
There are seven continents. Some of the continents are
connected to each other and others are completely
surrounded by water.

The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest ocean
The Atlantic Ocean is about the half of the size of thePacific Ocean

The seas are smaller than the oceans. They can be partly or
completely surrounded by land:
The South China sea is the largest sea. It is located to thesouth of China.
The Caribbean Sea extends from Mexico to Venezuela.
The Mediterranean Sea is surrounded by 21 countries including Spain.

Asia is the largest continent on Earth. It also has the largest
population. More than half of all the people on Earth live
there.

A landscape is an area of land that has a particular appearance. Natural features of landscapes are called landforms. Inlandlandscapes can have many different landforms, such as mountainsor valleys

Most of Spain is located on the Iberian Peninsula. A peninsula is an area of land that is mostly surrounded bywater, but is connected to a larger area of land at onepoint. The coast of Spain is full of different types of coastallandforms.

Mainland Spain is located in the south-west of Europe. Spain also has two archipelagos and two cities in the northof Africa. There are lots of different types of landscapes in Spain and many different landforms.
