• A common noun names any person, place, thing, or idea.– actor, city, book, pride

Possessive Nouns

• A possessive noun names who or what has something.

**HINT**: To make a noun possessive, you always add an (‘s), UNLESS the noun is plural and ends in s, in which case you will add an (‘)
