The job of Navy EOD is to detect, recover, identify, evaluate, render safe and dispose of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) that constitutes a threat to people, material, installations, ships, aircraft and operations. As the only naval force trained for such an expansive mission, Navy EOD technicians must deal with all types of explosive ordnance as well as weapon delivery systems containing explosives and propellants.

MISSION
