Cartographic Information 1:155000 ± Grid: WGS 1984 UTM Zone 18N map coordinate system Full color ISO A1, low resolution (100 dpi) Hurricane Florence is threatening the SE United States and the U.S. Mid-Atlantic states. While the storm is progressing along a steady west-northwest trajectory, the governors of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland and the mayor of Washington, D.C. declared a state of emergency. The states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia also issued mandatory evacuation orders for their coastal communities. The hurricane made landfall as a Category 1 TC early morning (local time) on the 14th of September 2018. The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Virginia Beach (United States). The thematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automatic approach. The estimated geometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of the background satellite image.
