Hurricane Florence is threatening the SE United States and the U.S. Mid-Atlantic states.While the storm is progressing along a steady west-northwest trajectory, the governors ofNorth Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland and the mayor of Washington, D.C.declared a state of emergency. The states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginiaalso issued mandatory evacuation orders for their coastal communities. The hurricane madelandfall as a Category 1 TC early morning (local time) on the 14th of September 2018.The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Virginia Beach (United States).The thematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automaticapproach. The estimated geometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from native positionalaccuracy of the background satellite image.
