WORK

As a researcher, Jeremy studies how individuals and groups collectively fulfill core needs, and how other people's behaviors are perceived to

threaten one's own needs, thus creating conflict. In the process of applied conflict management and peacebuilding, he aims to transform

relationships by helping parties recognize that their core needs are actually not being threatened by the other parties' narratives. Once the perception

of threat is mitigated, Jeremy helps them find common ground and a mutually beneficial cause for changing the relationship. He combines empirical and applied research by utilizing scientific and quantitative studies in the psychology of conflict in tandem with applied conflict

resolution methodologies when devising peacebuilding efforts in the field.

As a conflict resolution consultant, Jeremy focuses on core human needs, where many conflict specialists believe conflicts truly lie. He helps individuals get clear on which needs they perceive as being threatened, how they might

get those needs satisfied, and how to more effectively communicate with other parties in order to get everyone's needs met sufficiently.
