fee and subscription for the current financial year (commencing 1st

PRINCIPLES AND PURPOSES
The Universala Framasona Ligo – 1905 was founded in 1905 by active Freemasons. It is composed of
members acting on a strictly personal basis. Its objective is the improvement and further development
of fraternal and amicable relationships between the Freemasons of the entire world, without any
pursuit of economic profit. It aspires to the coordinated promotion of fraternal relations among all
peoples and nations.

The UFL – 1905 encourages all attempts to develop harmony among people and universal
brotherhood; assists Freemasons in need or peril; encourages the exchange of ideas; publishes
information and documents of mutual interest; organizes meetings and Congresses as well as task
groups; organizes conferences in different countries and exchanges speakers; develops cultural and
scientific activities among the Freemasons of the world.
The members of the UFL – 1905 have complete freedom in all matters regarding their fundamental
objectives. The UFL - 1905 abstains from any intervention in the affairs of all Masonic Jurisdictions
and it is wholly neutral regarding all political and religious matters.
The members of the UFL – 1905 are grouped in national administrative groups which are responsible
for the coordination of activities and dissemination of information within their regions. The national
administrative groups have their own rules and regulations, which are approved by the Managing
Committee of the UFL – 1905 International and must follow the spirit and contents of the Statutes of
the UFL – 1905 International.
When there are sufficient members within a geographic area of responsibility, the Managing
Committee may decide to create a new administrative group. In any case, the new group must have at
least ten (10) members.
The national administrative groups are obliged to submit their membership roll as of the 31st
December
of the previous year to the Executive Committee no later than the 31st
January of every year. At his
date, the General Treasurer must receive the corresponding membership payments. All unused
annual membership stamps must also be returned by this date.
Each and every national administrative group is obliged to undertake all necessary legal measures to
prevent the abuse of the name “UFL – 1905” in their area of responsibility.
