The renowned Ambient-Pop project LICHTMOND has already been launched successfully in the German-speaking territories: their fi rst album “Moonlight” was released on Blu-ray, DVD and CD, in 2010, and was enhanced by their highly acclaimed live performance within the “Night of the Proms Tour”. In 2011, LICHTMOND released the world’s fi rst animations music Blu-ray in 7.1. and 5.1 surround sound as well as real 3D. In autumn of 2012 this successstory will be updated by the forthcoming album release of “LICHTMOND 2 –Universe of Light”, paving the way for extraordinary planetarium shows worldwide...

The two brothers Giorgio and Martin Koppehele are not only the heart and soul of LICHTMOND. The 3D animations were produced by the Spanish team revolving around Diego M. Bonati and Javier Sáenz-Messía at the IMAGO-D studios near Madrid. Together with Diego and Javier they have created a kind of parallel universe for LICHTMOND, named “Earth 2”. Though comparable to our planet Earth, but orbited by two suns, causing quite different gravitational forces to come to effect. That’s why hovering trees, strange species of fl ying fi sh, bubble-like volcanos, surreal sculptures and other unknown objects come to life by means of a stunning 3D technology. This world is untouched by mankind, so the spectator can enjoy it peacefully. The combination of audio-visual beauty and distinctiveness is intended to achieve “pure indulgence for the soul”. Each song has it’s specifi c environment: “The beauty of LICHTMOND animations is that you are able to roam freely within their newly created world”, says Thomas W. Kraupe (Director of Planetarium Hamburg)

The idea to collaborate with internationally renowned artists like Alan Parsons (USA), Boy George (UK) and I Muvrini (France) has always been the integral concept of LICHTMOND.

Together with Alan Parsons, the Koppehele brothers recorded “Precious Life”, the new single from the forthcoming LICHTMOND 2 album “Universe of Light”.

Alan Parsons started his career as assistant engineer at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and worked together with Paul McCartney on the last two Beatles albums. He also worked as sound engineer on Pink Floyd’s world success “The Dark Side of the Moon”, before forming his own band together with Eric Woolfson. As “The Alan Parsons Project”, he released a series of global hit albums such as “Tales of Mystery and Imagination”, “Pyramid”, “I Robot”, “Eve” or “Eye in the Sky”.
