It is a surgical procedure to implant
a healthy body in a patient with an ill
body.

needed to become a donor?There are several requirements
established by law:
Want to be a donor.Be between 18 and 60 years.Be a healthy person physically and mentally.

In Panama, the kidney transplant program is conducted in the complex
hospital Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid.

What public hospitals offer a
transplant program?In Panama the
transplant program currently operates in the following institutions:Social Insurance Fund.Oncological Institute (only bone marrow transplants).

DURING THE SURGERY:
The donor enters the hospital 1 or 2 days prior to surgery.Surgery of the "donor is carried out at the same time. Experts make a wound of different size depending on the type of transplant that is taking place.

AFTER THE SURGERY:
