Qualified risk management professionals with the ability to make informed and timely strategic decisions are highly in demand now than ever before. The MSc Risk Management at Universiti Utara Malaysia is designed to produce professionals equipped with advanced knowledge and critical understanding of the dimensions of risk management. The programme enables graduates to develop sophisticated understanding of the various facets of risk, including risk perception, management, control and governance and of the complexity of connections between them.

The programme is approved by Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.

MSc. Risk Management is a 42 credit hour programme comprising of the following subjects.

7 Core Subjects (21 Credit Hours):1. Corporate Financial Management2. Risk Management 3. Enterprise Risk Management 4. Risk and Insurance 5. Risk Assessment and Decision Making 6. Business Continuity and Crisis Management 7. Research Methods in Economics

Admission to Master of Science (Risk Management) can be granted based on the criteria specified below:

i. A bachelor’s degree with honours from recognised universities with CGPA of at least 2.75; or A bachelor’s degree with a CGPA 2.50 and have at least five (5) years work experience;

ii. Any English qualification recognised by the UUM Senate Or

Fulfil the English language requirement set by the UUM Senate.
