• Baroness Lockwood stood down as Chancellor – July 2005

• Imran Khan announced as the fifth Chancellor of the University of Bradford

• No 1 university in England for widening participation achievements (Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) 2005)

• One of the most socially inclusive universities in the UK (THES Working Class Heroes League Table 2005)

• No 1 in North of England for Graduate Employment and 2nd in the UK (after Cambridge)
